What are bioidentical Hormones?

Bioidentical hormones are plant derived and are biologically identical to those produced naturally by the human body. Why is that important? In order for them to fully replicate the function of hormones which the body naturally produces, the chemical structures must match exactly. They replace the hormones which have declined due to aging, disease, or surgery. We offer a comprehensive evaluation, laboratory (blood/saliva) testing and interpretation, and can recommend and provide several methods of replacement therapy: transdermal creams, pills, troches, and pellets. Perimenopause and Menopause

Perimenopause is a life stage which begins approximately 10 or more years prior to menopause. Menopause follows and is signified by the complete cessation of menses for 12 consecutive months. Surgical menopause occurs quickly if the ovaries are removed.

Testosterone starts to decline beginning at age 30.
