What Is CoolSculpting Elite?
CoolSculpting Elite uses a process called cryolipolysis, which suctions specific bulges of fat between two cooling panels and deep-freezes the fat cells. Eventually, the fat cells are destroyed and absorbed by the body.
CoolSculpting Elite is most commonly performed on the abdomen, inner and outer thighs, love handles, upper arms or chin. The process takes about an hour to complete and is generally painless.
CoolSculpting works best for fine-tuning specific areas of the body. Patients who are twenty pounds or more overweight may not achieve the dramatic results they are looking for. But patients do need to have enough fat in the targeted area for the CoolSculpting Elite device to adhere to.
What to Expect After the Procedure
Since CoolSculpting Elite is a non-surgical procedure, most patients can resume their normal activities immediately after having the treatment. Some patients experience minimal discomfort, numbness, tingling, redness, or minor bruising in the treatment area. But these side effects usually subside quickly.
CoolSculpting Elite Results
Results do not appear immediately. Patients typically start to see some changes after three weeks. But the most dramatic results usually occur after one to three months.
After having the procedure, the body continues to expel destroyed fat cells for up to four to six months. Any fat cells that are destroyed are gone for good, but patients need to maintain a healthy lifestyle to preserve their results.
CoolSculpting Elite is effective after just one treatment. But for longer-lasting results, two sessions are recommended.
